Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ALT TAB Circuit Copilot, the ALT TAB Cloud hosted service, the website at kicad.alttab.rs, and related offerings from ALT TAB and Stefan Jančić ("we," "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, downloading the plugin, or using hosted AI features, you agree to these Terms and to the documents linked from checkout (including Paddle's buyer terms where applicable).

2. Plans, fees, and billing

ALT TAB Cloud is offered on paid subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Fees are recurring until cancelled in accordance with these Terms and your billing settings.

Merchant of record: payments, tax calculation, invoices, and many buyer-facing notices are processed by Paddle as merchant of record. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on our behalf. If checkout terms from Paddle conflict with marketing copy on this site, Paddle's checkout terms control for payment-specific matters.

Non-refundability: except where applicable law requires otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable. If we terminate access without cause attributable to you, we may credit or refund unused time at our reasonable discretion. See the Refund policy and Billing FAQ.

Consumers in the EU and Serbia may have statutory rights (including withdrawal rights for certain distance contracts). Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights. Where the law requires pre-contractual information, we provide it at checkout and in these policies.

3. License and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ALT TAB Circuit Copilot for your internal PCB and schematic design work with KiCad, subject to plan limits and fair use.

You agree not to:

• resell, sublicense, or redistribute ALT TAB Circuit Copilot except as permitted in writing;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent billing, quotas, or security controls;
• use the Product for unlawful hardware, export violations, or large-scale abuse;
• remove proprietary notices.

4. Accounts, organizations, and AI usage

You are responsible for credentials, API keys issued to your account, and activity under your account. Hosted AI is subject to rate limits, quotas, and automated abuse detection. You remain responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them for safety-critical or production systems.

Model training: we do not use your prompts or project content to train foundation models without your explicit consent. Inference may be processed by third-party model providers under their policies—see our Privacy Policy.

5. Legacy local vendor keys

If you supply your own third-party model keys, you are solely responsible for those keys, their security, and any charges from the provider. ALT TAB does not control those requests.

6. Updates, support, and termination

We may update ALT TAB Circuit Copilot or ALT TAB Cloud. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach. On termination you must stop using paid features; uninstall obligations continue to apply where stated.

7. Warranties and limitation of liability

The Product is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where allowed.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Product in any twelve-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in that period (excluding pass-through model usage charged directly by third parties). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

8. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify ALT TAB and Stefan Jančić against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Product, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

9. Export controls and sanctions

You must comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws. You may not use the Product in embargoed regions or for prohibited end uses.

10. Electronic contracts

You agree that clicking "Subscribe", "Pay", or similar controls, and using electronic records and signatures, constitutes a binding agreement under applicable e-commerce rules, including where the Republic of Serbia recognizes electronic contracting.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Courts in Belgrade (or another competent Serbian venue as required by consumer law) have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Serbian consumers may contact the Market Inspectorate or other competent bodies for consumer complaints as provided by law.
