Refunds
Refund policy
This policy describes how we handle refunds and statutory withdrawal rights for paid ALT TAB Cloud subscriptions. Payment technicalities and receipts are issued by Paddle as merchant of record.
General rule
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where applicable law requires a refund, where we terminate the service without cause (we may credit unused time at our discretion), or where we explicitly offer a promotional money-back window on checkout.
If you cancel mid-period, you typically do not receive a pro-rata refund for unused time; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. See also billing FAQ.
AI usage, quotas & refunds
Paid ALT TAB Cloud plans include a metered allowance of hosted AI usage (for example monthly tokens, requests, or gateway quota—whatever your plan displays in the product). When you use the assistant, we incur real costs from model and infrastructure providers. Those costs are tied to consumption, not to whether you later cancel or ask for a refund.
Voluntary refunds (our discretion): we generally approve a refund only if, for the billing period in question, our records show no meaningful use of your plan's included AI allowance—for example zero tokens consumed, or only negligible test usage we classify as non-billable. If you have used any substantial part of your allocation, we will normally decline a discretionary refund because the service has been delivered and third-party costs are not recoverable when Paddle reverses your payment.
This protects both parties: you should not expect to consume your plan's AI quota and then receive the subscription fee back under our standard policy. Usage is visible in your account dashboard and in our internal billing logs; we rely on those records when deciding eligibility.
Digital services & withdrawal (EU / Serbia)
For distance contracts, consumers in the EU and Serbia may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for certain purchases. For digital content that is supplied immediately after purchase, the law may allow the right to be waived if you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once performance begins. At checkout we present the statutory information and any waiver required by law.
Once you use hosted AI features, we treat the digital service as supplied for that period. A withdrawal or refund request made after meaningful consumption may be refused where the law permits—especially if you agreed at checkout to immediate access and acknowledged that performance had started. This is separate from our voluntary rule above but points in the same direction: statutory windows are not a way to obtain a full fee refund after consuming paid AI capacity.
Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights. If you believe a statutory refund applies despite usage, email office@alttab.rs with your Paddle order ID, jurisdiction, and a clear explanation. We will review account usage before any decision.
How to request a refund
Email office@alttab.rs with your Paddle order or subscription ID, account email, billing period, and reason. We will check whether any hosted AI quota was consumed during that period.
We aim to confirm eligibility within a reasonable time. If approved, Paddle processes the money movement in line with card-network timelines (often several business days). If declined because of usage, we will explain that decision in writing.
Legal review recommended before launch. For full terms see Terms of Service.
